			SUMMARY																							
			Operates multiple and varied types of precision machines in a cell operation. 		
			Machines include: CNC and Manual Lathes; CNC and Manual Mills; Saws; Tumblers; Grinders; 		
			Sanders; Buffers; Presses; Drill Press; Honer; Welder and assorted hand and air tools.		
			May operate forklift if qualified and licensed.		
			Operates numerically controlled machining centers.		
			Reads process sheets.		
			Secures workpiece in fixture or loads automatic feeding device. 		
			Starts machine, engages feed and observes operation.		
			Spot checks production pieces for conformance to specifications.		
			May operate another machine tool during machining cycle.		
					
			ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES														
			Be aware of and follow safety regulations. 		
			Read, add, subtract and divide whole numbers and decimals.		
			Understand the basics of metric measurements.		
			Keep count of parts during production runs and record on forms provided.		
			Read and understand blueprints and travelers/routings.		
			Read and understand the use of a variety of measuring devices.		
			Chamfer and clean bars and blanks prior to machining.		
			Assemble (when required), deburr and stamp parts.		
			Keep machine clean internally of chips and debris during production runs.		
			Maintain machine and work area cleanliness. Remove all unrelated paperwork and documentation.		
			Inspect parts during production run to ensure conformance to specifications using comparator,		
			fixed gauges, calipers, micrometer and plug or ring gauges.		
			May move machine controls and tooling to adjust machine speed and feed rates and depth of cut.		
			Inspect tooling during production for wear and possible changing of tools.		
			Adds coolant to machine reservoir as needed.		
			Cleans and packs finished parts per requirements on traveler or routing.		
			Completes documentation as required.		
			Contact Supervisor when material is needed (raw stock & packaging) or chip tub needs emptied.		
			May operate forklift if qualified and licensed.		
			May be required to furnish personal tools to perform this jobs.		
			Observe Lock-Out-Tag-Out.		
			May be required to perform other duties outside the scope of this job description.		
					
			SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES														
			May be required to monitor new operators.		
			Training of new and other employees.
