The park has modern camping with 40 hookups (30 amp and 50 amp), a shelter house with a fireplace, and electricity. The neighboring sports complex consists of a swimming pool, tennis courts, track, baseball fields, and children's playground.
The cost is $15 per night or $375 per month for Electric/water sites. The cost is $20 per night for full hookup or $450 per month. No reservations. 48' RV lenght limit.

The former County Home Farm, south of Audubon on Highway 71, has a Victorian House museum, meeting hall with dining room and kitchen, machinery building with antique farm and home artifacts, one room schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, barns, farm windmills and a walkout gazebo to see and feed the elk family. Admire the ceramic tile mosaics inset in the brick sidewalks throughout the downtown and the John James Audubon Park. They showcase replicas of Audubon's prints from "Bird of America." Walk the Walk in Audubon and you can find a collection of art work honoring the famed artist and naturalist John James Audubon, for whom both the town and county were named.

Since 1978 a replica of the famous Little Mermaid statue of Copenhagan, Denmark has sat in the fountain at the city park a long way from her home in the sea. In 2013 eight different bronze sculptures depicting Hans Christian Andersen's famous tales have graced the garden.
Audubon County's Freedom Rock
In the Kimballton Park is the colorful Audubon County's Freedom Rock. Part of the Iowa's Freedom Rock Tour. The artist, Ray "Bubba" Sorensen II, started the tour to give Veterans a unique recognition on Memorial Day.

Located on the east side of Kimballton is the Lloyd Petersen Ball Park. On Main Street is the restful gazebo built reminiscent of the band gazebo of the early 1900's where the Kimballton Band played every Saturday night. Future plans include the Sculpture Garden being the beginning of the Little Mermaid Trail which eventually will make its way to the Danish Windmill in Elk Horn, IA. The Kimballton Park includes colorful play equipment. The "Danish" Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1904 sits on the hillside and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The smell of gunpowder in the air puts a smile on the hunter's face. From May thru October, the Audubon County Conservation Club has been the site of competitive trap and skeet shoots which are held twice a month on Monday evenings. Competitors and spectators alike, are enthusiastic, even in the hot months. The Trap and Skeet Shoot Club is located a few miles south of Hamlin on the east side of Highway 71, formerly Isaac Walton Park. The cost is minimal.
