Duties of Our Office
The County Auditor's Office is responsible for conducting elections and voter registration administration, acting as secretary to the Board of Supervisors, maintaining property tax records, figuring real estate taxes, processing beer, liquor and cigarette permits and also performing accounting services such as accounts payable and payroll. The Auditor's Office is currently preparing budgets and financial reports on behalf of the Supervisors. We also assist the state auditors during our county audit by preparing annual workpapers, schedules and journal entries.

Elections and Voter Registration Administration
All elections conducted in Audubon County are organized through the Auditor's Office. The Commissioner is responsible for accepting nomination papers, ballot printing, public testing of voting machines, precinct election official training and organizing polling places.

Addressing Board of Supervisors
As acting secretary for the Board, it is our responsibility to post agendas and take minutes for all Supervisor meetings. If you would like to approach the Board at a meeting, please contact our office to be put on the agenda 24 hours ahead of time.

Beer, liquor, & cigarette permits
Any rural Audubon County establishment interested in selling beer, liquor &/or cigarettes must create an accounty and start process the following link: GovConnect  After you are finished on this site GovConnect will notify the County Auditor's Office and we will schedule your license to be approved through the Board of Supervisor's meeting.  You may be contacted for an questions regarding your application for license.

Valuation Reports- a list of all available reports comes up and go to red pdf under actions - here you will select year - type of budget ex: Ag Extension and then Code find Audubon County Ag Extension. Click OK and to the right it will say Report generated successfully Download.  Click on the word Download and this will download it to your computer/tablet/ect
